Sometimes there can be water in the cable cover.
Please be aware that the cover of the Type 2 cables is for dust protection only; it does not serve to repel water. Furthermore, the entered water in the cable cover does not cause safety issues for operation of the charging station or the use of the charging cable.
The two domes (PP + CP) in the cover ensure that electrolysis is not possible. Additionally, the amount of the water can be reduced by changing the “holding” position of the charging cable – the charging cable shouldn’t hang upside-down, we recommend a horizontal “holding” position.
