Tesla cable functions

Tesla chargers offer their users some features, like:

  • Remote charging port open

  • Unlocking the charging socket

These two features are also not an industry standard and are not supported on INCH charging station.

We did once test such kind of cable (an example of it here: https://www.evchargeking.com/nl/tesla-open-einde-laadkabel-16a-driefase )

It’s quite a special cable as it has a battery inside it so that it can send this “unlock” signal to the car.
