RFID tags and readers have to be tuned to the same frequency in order to communicate. There are several different frequencies an RFID system can use.  Generally, the most common are

• Supports I2C, SPI and HSU (High speed UART)
• 5 to 7 cm reading distance


Supported cards:
• Mifare 1k, 4k, Ultralight and DesFire cards
• ISO/IEC 14443-4 cards (CD97BX, CD light, Desfire, PSCN072(SMX))
• Innovision Jewel cards (IRT5001)
• FeliCa cards (RCS_860 and RCS_854)
